The cutest square plate with a vibrant, all-over floral pattern and gold rim. Use it for jewelry, or use it for entertaining - it's super versatile.
The stamp on the back is distorted, but it appears to say "Faience Czechoslovakia," although I cannot confirm this with any certainty. Faience refers to a method of glazing where earthenware is glazed with a tin-based glaze. This method was popular in France from the 16th to 19th century, but this piece was obviously made much more recently (I would guess between the 1930s-1940s).
Very good condition, but does show some light fading to the gold rim and surface pattern, consistent with age and use.
